UPGRADES ABOUND ON CAMPUS AND BEYOND

Major improvements have begun all around the Fox Chase campus and at several satellite locations, and more are planned, thanks in part to generous donor support. Boo’s Boutique reopened in January 2024 after a complete renovation funded in part by the Friends of Fox Chase and the Binswanger family. In addition to services and programs to help manage the side effects of breast cancer treatment, a music wellness program is now offered in this space with support from the Martin Guitar Charitable Foundation.

The 10th annual In Vino Vita Benefit and Wine Auction last fall raised more than $2.2 million toward the redesign of the West Building clinical space. The first phase of this major multistep project has already begun, with an expansion of the Fox Chase infusion pharmacy.

It also will bring upgraded infusion facilities, 14 new infusion chairs, a separate clinical research unit and waiting space, a day hospital for patients who need all-day care, and space for a new theranostics program. Theranostics is a highly targeted therapy that involves infusion of radioactive isotopes to locate and kill cancer cells while sparing healthy cells.

Other upcoming projects include doubling the clinical space at Huntingdon Pike to support the growing Fox Chase - Temple Urologic Institute, expanding the Fox Chase - Buckingham campus, expanding the surgical and medical oncology programs at Fox Chase - Chestnut Hill, opening a new multidisciplinary site in Voorhees, New Jersey, and opening the Nursing Innovation and Simulation Lab, which was funded through the 2022 In Vino Vita gala.
